Sensors were placed on all of the lower level windows, front and rear doors and second floor outside of my three bedrooms. Sounds great. Not!The key sensors malfunctions three times calling the police costing me a total of $105 in false alarm fees. About four weeks after the alarm system was installed my house was burglarized and the alarm never went off. My husband and I called numerous times to find out why the system failed. After the fourth or fith time my husband was to the system was not working since July second and our home was burglarized on July 5th and no one from Silverline called to inform us of the system being down and my home was unsecured. What am I paying for. My attorney has been contacted and informed us that they broke the contract and owe us the money paired for the service and we will in small claims court. WARNIG: Do not get pulled into the scam!We lost a lot and are in danger of Identity theft. Respectfully, DSMy husband also wanted that system put in and we have had nothing but trouble!it would go off so much we were afraid for them to call the police due to false alarm fees and the customer service is so bad that i contacted safe home security who makes the alarms and silver line does the monitoring and they helped me break the contract, I could never get a tech to the house for repairs they would no show or be very late and did not know what they were doing, and silver line claimed they only have 2 tech for the entire Dallas and Fort Worth Texas area and they also do the installs my question was how can they come fix mine if you only have 2 people total to do installs and repairs? Our system was down more that it worked and i will not sign another 3 year agreement for they get you and it is hard to get it broken no matter if you get bad service or alarm down they have you with the contract. MESQUITE TEXASI initially signed up with Silverline Security and was told by the salesman it was a 1 year contract.

3. " I think there's a lot more surveillance that we know about or that we make ourselves aware of. How many times when signing up for a site or using an online app when there's a long contract of sort with all the indemnity and legal info do we actually read it before clicking "agree"?Or willingly give all of our info from a social media site that we keep open to just friends and family to every app we sign up for?It just seems as if it is starting to get out of hand and there is a huge difference between those who are IT savvy and those who are not in terms of protecting themselves and the ability to potentially monitor others. Just two months ago, Vivint entered into a voluntary compliance agreement with the Nebraska Attorney General’s Office. Vivint, according to the agreement, “shall not make any misrepresentations and/or false or misleading statements, directly or by implication, which have the tendency or effect of deceiving or misleading consumers. ” Among the issues cited—which will sound familiar to Palm Coast complainants: the company made claims that it was affiliated with another company or agency when it wasn’t, it made claims that it was upgrading an existing security system when it wasn’t, it’s claimed that an existing security has either gone out of business or merged with another, when that was not the case, and so on. Less than two months earlier, the company agreed to a similar settlement with the Ohio Attorney General’s Office after consumers filed complaints that Vivint claimed, according to BBB documents, “that its home security equipment was free, but failed to disclose the existence or amount of installation, activation and monitoring fees associated with the system. Vivint door to door sales representatives misrepresented the price of continued monthly monitoring fees, made representations that it was providing an upgrade to the consumer’s current home security system; that the consumer’s current security system company was no longer in business; or that Vivint was otherwise part of or authorized to continue monitoring the consumer’s current home security system. ”Mugford provided the city with a list of 13 customers he said Alarmpro “lost due to ViVint and their authorized agent ARM Security causing our customers to break their contracts with Alarmpro, Inc. ” At least two customers have since switched back after checking Vivint’s record. “We have had many calls about Vivint alarms aka APX Security which has over a hundred complaints with the Better Business Bureau, and over a hundred complaints on ‘RipOff.
