One of the ways Vivint is trying to separate from the competition is by positioning themselves as more of a ‘home automation’ solution. Their mobile app allows you to control your home security system remotely. They also have a suite of additional home automation products and features that allow you to control your thermostat temperature to promote energy efficiency, lock and unlock doors, live stream video of your doorbell ringing and the surrounding area, etc. Their home automation is compatible with common smart home products, such as Amazon Echo, Google home, Amazon Alexa, and many more. There are many negative Vivint reviews from customers, the majority of them noting poor customer service. Be sure to check out the Vivint smart home reviews and home security reviews below to see what customers have to say and to decide if Vivint is the right home security provider for you.

Their employees are very well informed, extremely polite and totally “service oriented”. No “up selling” just an honest to goodness old fashioned way of doing business. Jay, the owner originally came out and evaluated our needs for our condo. Any questions or issues are immediately resolved by phone or an appointment is scheduled. I’m very grateful to the company for putting me at ease. Thank you to everyone who has helped make this a overall great experience. From:DM W. All of us would like to thank you and the entire Forest Security team for all your help in installing and activating our new alarm system. The entire process from our first contact with you, to your scheduling team, on site installation and technical support over the phone was way beyond our expectation. Getting the system up and running in a very short time frame was of paramount importance, you promised us a completion date and actually finished two days ahead of schedule. Forest Security exhibited the upmost in professionalism and we look forward to a long relationship.
